Whispy Woods is a giant apple tree and recurring boss in the Kirby series. He appeared in the first Kirby game, Kirby's Dream Land for the Game Boy in 1992, and is the first boss Kirby actually faces. He attacks by making apples fall on Kirby and blowing air puffs. Kirby can inhale apples and shoot them back at him, although he can also fight back using his copy ability attacks if he has one. Besides apples, Whispy Woods can also attack with his breath.
In MKF, Whispy Woods is the boss of the Kirby-based Greens Panic and fight much like he did in the original games. The player can pick up and throw back the apples at Whispy Woods to deal damage to him. In earlier versions of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, Whispy is fought twice in the level, appearing solo during the first fight and being joined by Twin Woods during the second fight. However, Twin Woods was removed after the fight against Whispy Woods was revamped in the v0.82 update.
