"Everybody is cheating! Next time I cheat! Heh heh heh!"
Waluigi is a playable character in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. He was modeled after Wario, presumably as a lighter and faster alternative.
History[]
Waluigi originates from the Mario franchise. He plays the role of Luigi's arch-rival and accompanies Wario in spin-offs from the main Mario series, often for the sake of causing mischief and problems.
Waluigi first appeared in Mario Tennis on the Nintendo 64 and has since remained solely for the various spin-off titles, such as kart racing, party games, sports, and DDR. Curiously, he has yet to be playable in an adventure game not only in the Mario series but also in the Wario series despite often portrayed as Wario's partner in the spin-off games.
Gameplay[]
Waluigi play very similarly to Wario, because he is a Wario "clone", but much more maneuverable and fast. But in exchange for better maneuverability, Waluigi has a weaker offensive abilities.
- Special Jump: Dash attack (Forward + Attack). An offensive move that kills most enemies and breaks bricks. Can be used once in mid-air to cross large pits, as it ignores gravity. Waluigi can run off a cliff edge and keep moving forward during a dash attack. There is a slight cooldown rate that prevents it from repeated use.
- He is able to knock out coins from enemies, but at the same time, when Waluigi dies, he loses all collected coins.
Level Controls[]
See Basic Controls which goes over Map and standard Level Controls.
Below are non-standard controls specific to Waluigi in his Initial form (except when otherwise noted). Parenthesis indicate optional.

Trivia[]
- Waluigi's Fire Flower form is clearly a reference to his appearance in the Super Mario Strikers games.
- Waluigi's Hammer Bros. Suit form makes him resemble Foreman Spike, who is not only the main antagonist in the 1985 NES game Wrecking Crew, but also could be a physical predecessor to both him and Wario.
- When Waluigi grabs a Starman, the music that plays is a remix from the 2005 Gamecube game Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix, where Waluigi serves as the first boss of the game. It's called Destruction Dance (Club Mix) from SiIvaGunner: King for a Day Tournament.
- When the player clears a level as Waluigi, the "course clear" music that plays is a small remix mashup of Greenhorn Forest from the 2003 Gamecube game Wario World & Waluigi's Pinball from the 2005 Nintendo DS game Mario Kart DS. It's called Victory! Wario Bros., which is also from SiIvaGunner: King for a Day Tournament.
- When Wario and Waluigi lose a life in a level, the "Lost a Life" music from the 1994 Game Boy game Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 plays.
- Like Wario, Waluigi is another character to have voice clips. These have a 15% chance of playing if he defeats an enemy or performs a dash attack.
- The 1up sound from Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins plays whenever Waluigi collects a 1up.
- During early development of MKF, Waluigi was planned to a member of a since-abandoned concept called the Anti-Coalition, a group of anti-heroes that would compete with and against the Mushroom Kingdom Coalition in fighting Legion. He would had been Luigi's rival/counterpart. Despite this, Waluigi would had still been a secret playable character as a clone of Wario, who is a member of the MK Coalition.
- When playing as Waluigi, the "PLAYER START!" screen before a level originally came from Super Mario World but as of the v0.82 version of MKF, Waluigi now has a custom-made "PLAYER START" screen with the text "WALUIGI TIME".
- As of v0.875, Wario and Waluigi no longer crawl under the fortress.
