A Vire is a bat-like devil that is also a recurring enemy in the Zelda series, first appearing in the The Legend of Zelda (the very first game in the series). It is said that a single Vire is made out of a group of Keeses after Link defeats one.
In Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, one particular Vire appears as a NPC in the level Volcanic Ascent, where he gives foreboding news about Loki.
