Toadette is a friendly mushroom-like character from the Mario series. She is a member of the Toad species and is the most notable female member. Toadette is strongly associated with Toad though their true relationship remains a mystery. In Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, Toadette runs the Shop in World 1: The Mushroom Kingdom. She also occasionally shows up in the Toad Houses.
History[]
Toadette first appeared in the 2003 Gamecube game Mario Kart Double Dash and was mainly created as a partner for Toad (much like how Waluigi was originally created as a partner for Wario) and to add more female characters in the Mario series. She appeared mainly in the spin-off games, such as the Mario Kart series, Mario Party series, and so on. However, in recent years, Toadette's role in the Mario series has increased as she became a playable character in some of the platform games, such as Super Mario Run, Super Mario Maker 2, and the spinoff series Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
