Tides Of Time is the 7th level in Isle of Genesis and it is based on the Ecco the Dolphin series.

Layout[]

This level takes place on the ocean side near the Crystal Mountain, as this is where the main character, Ecco the Dolphin, travels through time to combat hostile extraterrestrials that abducted his sea life friends and must rescue them before it is too late.

This level is almost entirely underwater, aside from the beginning and then the end.

The first main area takes the player through a pristine underwater grotto, filled with a multitude of marine wildlife. While dolphins, killer whales and tropical fish are harmless and will swim around the player, there are also poisonous jellyfish, pufferfish and Clambos to watch out for as they can harm the player.

The second main area has the player enter a series of ancient underwater ruins, which have been hostilely taken over by both the native wildlife and a number of Dr. Robotnik's aquatic Badniks. The ruins still have some active traps that may catch intruders off guard and some giant spider-like creatures that can come out of nowhere to attack the players in this area.

After exiting the ocean ruins and cleaning the level, the player appears to be in a magical land, seeing a castle in the distance.
