The Entryway is the 1st level in the Mushroom Kingdom, in addition to being the first level as a whole in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion.
Layout[]
This level takes place in a grassy plain around Princess Peach's castle in the background, with many yellow mountains, green pipes, and giant color blocks. The hero of the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario, goes off on an adventure to rescue Princess Peach after she's been kidnapped by Bowser yet again. Meanwhile, Roll got separated from the Megaverse and arrived here as she ran to Professor Hector, where he greeted her and soon realized that she's not from this world. Hector then started training her about this world, and he told her to go meet Mario and help him form the Mushroom Kingdom Coalition.
The level design is based on many of the first levels in the 2D Mario games, so it is a very straightforward level as the player will collect Coins and Rupees, jump on ? Blocks for power-ups, and collect the 8 red coins for a bonus reward at the end. Also, the player is introduced to the most common Mario enemies in this world, such as the living mushrooms known as Goombas, turtle-like Koopa Troopas whose shells can be used as weapons, Shy Guys that can be picked up and thrown at other enemies, and the plant eaters called Piranha Plant that come out of the green pipes to take a bite or shoot fireballs at the player. Near the end of the level, the player will hop around the stairs and grab the flagpole to clear the level as they enter a pipe to go to the Goomba Mines next.

Trivia[]
- This area is one of three levels that was included in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion's predecessor, Super Mario MF (Multimedia Fusion). The other two being Tower of Babel and Metropolitan Siege (then known as Military War Zone).
- Princess Peach's castle appears in the beginning of the level, referencing how the castle also appears in the beginning of the first level in the 2006 Nintendo DS game New Super Mario Bros.
- In the original version of this level, there was an area with a P-Switch. If the player presses it, some of the coins form the letters "JS", a reference to the original creator of MKF, JudgeSpear (now known as EddyMRA).
- Snifits and Ninjis were originally found in this level but were removed after the level was revamped. In the earliest version of MKF (when it was known as Super Mario Fusion: Mushroom Kingdom Hearts), Cheep Cheeps were also found in the level but were removed.
- The Entryway is also the name of the first map in DOOM II.
- There is a hidden 1-Up Block in the level, right before the fifth pipe and above the two ? blocks. This is a good level for farming 1-Ups.
