Tetropolis is the 4th level in World 8: Avenue of Memories and is based on the Tetris series.
Layout[]
This level takes place in a tower made out of only Tetris Blocks that is located near the famous Sain Basil Cathedral in Russia.
The first area takes place outside of the tower as it introduces the Tetris Blocks which serve as platforms to cross the various large pits. While they can be difficult, there is a distinct pattern to their falling path, giving the player a hint on how to navigate them. The player must use these blocks to get across the pitfall while dealing with enemies, such as Goombas, Koopa Troopas wearing Mario-looking masks, Balloon Birds, and Senshiyans. At the end of the area, the player enters the pipe to the next room.
The second area has the player climbing the tower using the Tetris Block to get to the top while avoiding the Cannons shooting at them. This area is also an auto scrolling section, meaning that the player must keep up or risk falling off the screen and losing a life.
The third area takes place inside of the tower as the player can see an endless, pouring amount of Tetris Blocks in the background. The player will travel cross though more Tetris Blocks and dealing with more enemies. There is also a Starman placed somewhere in the middle of this area that the player can use to defeat some enemies in the way. At the end, the player enters the pipe to the last checkpoint room.
After entering the last checkpoint room, the player will battle the mosquito robot King Watinga, who attacks by spreading color bullets around the area. If the player loses a power up or didn't have one before the fight, they can pick up the harmless cockroaches that occasionally spawn and throw them at King Watinga to damage him. After defeating King Watinga, he will start to malfunction and then explode as the level is cleared for the player.

Trivia[]
- The level background has been modeled after the game's Russian origin - represented by the famous Saint Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. The foreground buildings are recolored from Strider.
- The Koopa Troopas wear Mario-like masks from Super Mario World which occurs after the player completes Star World and all 96 exits from the original game.
- The following enemies were removed after the level was revamped: Paragoombas, Volcano Lotuses, Shemums, Reapers and Reapettes.
- Anerus were previously absent from the level.
