Terra Edifice is the 3rd level in World 5: Gehenna.
Layout[]
The level begins in a desert area where a bizarre building structure has appeared due to a dimensional flux. As the player's character moves further towards the mysterious building, he or she will encounter various hostile alien creatures. Also, the player needs to be aware of the quicksand!
Once entering the edifice, the player has to fight their way through lots of enemies, activate switches, and jump on sinking, circling, and even disappearing platforms.
After reaching the second checkpoint, the player will be pursued by an indestructible lightning orb (which behaves like SMB3's Angry Sun) while maneuvering over disappearing platforms, avoiding spikes and enemy attacks.
The final level part will be a down-scrolling section where the player will encounter many strong enemies, such as Gordeas and Bio-Drones. Take advantage of the weapons lying around to overcome these last obstacles before finally reaching the flagpole.
