Subspace Adventure is the final level of World 8: Avenue of Memories in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. It is based on the Super Smash Bros series, specifically the Adventure Mode found in Super Smash Bros Melee and the Subspace Emissary in Super Smash Bros Brawl.
Layout[]
At the beginning, Master Hand flies and places the player to the main gate section. From there, the player must venture and collect eight orbs from each universe and there is a checkpoint placed between two of the orb areas.
The Red Orb area is based on the castle levels in the original Super Mario Bros. in the NES style. The player must past through various Mario enemies, such as the common Goombas and Koopa Troopas, as well as avoiding the dangerous obstacles, such as Firebars and the lava pits. At the end, the player encounters a retro version of Bowser, who is fought much like Bowser was in the original game. The player can either use projectiles to defeat Retro Bowser or use the axe behind him to send him down to the lava underneath the bridge either by jumping over him or running under him as he jumps.
The Orange Orb area is based on Kirby Super Star, where the player is onboard the Battleship Halberd and must reach the end while avoiding various enemies, such as Waddle Dees, Sir Kibbles, Laser Balls and Scarfies.
The Green Orb area is based on Midoro Palace from Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link as the player must hop on green platforms that soon disappear and than explore around to the key to unlock the gate while fighting though the enemies, such as Wosus, Octoroks, Bits and Wizzrobes.
The Light Blue Orb area is based on the sixth area of Blaster Master, which takes the player on an icy dungeon as they must jump upward from platform to platform while shooting thought the various robots enemies, such as Neoworms, Mad Hands, Hummels and Exors.
The Purple Orb area is a tower-based area based on Rat-Trap, a video game for the Amiga whose concept was re-used in Krusty's Fun House (a licensed game based on the popular cartoon, The Simpsons), where the player must navigate though various ladders and platforms in a huge house while fighting various animals enemies, such as Red Mice and Klampons.
The Blue Orb area is based on The Addams Family: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt as it takes the player to an underwater area, where they must swim through a maze-like area breaking mini boulders while avoiding sea life enemies, such as Cheep Cheeps, Gunions and Gordos, that popular the area.
The Yellow Orb area is partly based on the Twinbee series, mainly Pop'n TwinBee: Rainbow Bell Adventures, and is an area consisting of pastel-colored card bricks that feature various shapes seen in playing cards. The player must break through bricks that feature a star to progress while dealing with various enemies, such as Clock Men, Bronto Burts and Purple Clowns. The next two rooms mainly feature the player having to dodge large spiked balls and avoiding various spike traps.
The Gray Orb area takes the player to an area resembling the Windows 98 interface and features enemies or obstacles that appeared in PC games, such as the Worms, bouncing Solitaire cards and Minesweeper Mines. There are also hidden platforms that can only be seen after hitting a Lens of Truth block.
After collecting all of Orbs, the player then enters the red door to go to the last checkpoint room with powerups beforehand prior to the fight. The last area takes place in the Final Destination stage as the player will battle Master Hand and must dodge to avoid his attacks and fight back to damage him. Master Hand has three phases throughout the fight. In the first phase, Master Hand fights like he does in the Classic Mode in the Smash Bros games. In the second phase, Master Hand is joined by Crazy Hand and the player must fight both Hands at the same time and can use a different type of a team attack if both are active.
In the final phase, after either Master Hand or Crazy Hand is defeated, at last, the surviving Hand will start to explode before a Smash Ball appears. Suddenly Master Hand (or Crazy Hand) grabs it and turns into Omega Hand, the very difficult phase in the fight. Omega Hand is invincible to the player's attacks until he stops glowing and the attack patterns are more difficult, stronger and are very different compared to before. After defeating Omega Hand, he starts to explode before launching himself into the background, exploding in a void. As a result, the player has saved the Subspace lands of this world, completing the level and getting the World Key to clear World 8.

Trivia:[]
- Starting with the v0.81 version of MKF, this level replaced the now-removed Elemental Tower as the final level in World 8. Also, In earlier versions of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, this level was named "Final Destination" and only featured the boss fight against Master Hand, with the first room before the fight only consisting of two powerups and the Break the Targets tileset, with no second platform for the extra powerups or a checkpoint beforehand. This was because the full level itself was still a work in progress. It was then expanded as a neon-color tileset for this section and the level itself, with a checkpoint added in-between this level in the v0.85 update as a full level instead.
- The layout design is inspire by The Great Maze, the final level in Subspace Emissary from Super Smash Bros Brawl, where the player had to go to past the level area to find and fight all Shadow Bug versions of the playable characters and past bosses in order to fight the final boss of the mode, Tabuu.
- The Red Orb area reuses the SMB1 castle area and the Retro Bowser fight from an older version of Retro Road, which was removed from the level.
- The Green Orb area reuses elements of the scrapped Midoro Palace level.
- The Battleship Halberd appears is a reference to Super Smash Bros Brawl's Subspace Emissary, where the battleship was stolen by the Subspace Army and was used to drop off Shadow Bugs that created Primids soldiers in the areas.
- The Windows 98 area is inspired by some Super Mario World ROM hacks.
- The Rat Trap and The Addams Family: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt rooms are the only areas that don't have enemies from their source games.
- The boss arena's sprite is a custom asset made by SmithyGCN.
