Submarine Eggman II is one of the bosses found in the first world. Defeating this machine opens up access to World 7: Isle of Genesis.
History[]
Submarine Eggman II is a water-based machine piloted by Dr. Eggman that originated from the Oil Ocean Zone in the 1992 Sega Genesis game Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Like all Sonic the Hedgehog 2 bosses, Submarine Eggman II takes eight hits to be defeated.
Role In MKF[]
Submarine Eggman II appears as a secret boss in Desert Hill, but is operated by an Egg Robo instead of Dr. Eggman himself.
The boss battle begins when the Submarine Eggman II emerges from the oil, giving the player an opportunity to attack the machine by jumping on it. Egg Robo would then quickly sink back down into the oil and fires a chained harpoon at the player, which can be avoided by jumping. Its second separate attachment with a laser gun will appear and fire three shots. While its three shots can fire at random heights, one of its shots may temporarily ignite the entire platform on blue fire. After this, Submarine will rise out of the oil again and the process will repeat.
After the Submarine Eggman II is destroyed, the player can gain access to the secret warp pipe, which leads to Isle of Genesis.
