The Spread Gun is one of several Contra-based weapons found in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. This semi-automatic gun enables the player to shoot in three to five different directions at the same time and in a spreading manner. It can be highly effective against stronger enemies or bosses as each bullet hits the target at once, especially at up-close firing. There are two types of Spread Guns: one that shoots in three is from Super Contra and another that shoots five is from the original Contra.
