Spiked Koopa is a large Koopa Troopa that wears spiked armor. He serves as one of the many bosses fought in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion.
History[]
Spiked Koopa originated from the 1994 Game Boy game Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, where he is the first boss fought in the game. During his fight with Wario, Spiked Koopa attacks by striking from land, air, and underground. His spiny shell makes him immune to ground pounds and fire. However, he can be rammed into using a dash attack, exposing his soft belly. After three hits to his weak spot, he is defeated.
Role In MKF[]
In MKF, Spiked Koopa is the boss of Rice Beach and is fought much like he was in the original Wario Land game. There is also a Mushroom Block from Super Mario Bros 2 that the player can use to throw it at him. After five hits, Spiked Koopa explodes and is defeated, thus completing the level for the player.

- Spiked Koopa has his original Wario Land sprite but is recolored with 16-bit shading.
- The music used during the fight against Spiked Koopa comes is a fan remix of the boss battle music from the original Wario Land.
