Snowdriftland is the 3rd secret level in World 8, Avenue of Memories and is based on the SWF-style game UPIXO in Action: Mission in Snowdriftland.

Layout[]

This level takes the player on a peaceful romp through a pristine icy environment, where they must fend against penguin-like foes and other cold-climate enemies above a frosty arctic sea. The terrain is slippery from the ice and has lots of narrow footholds that may drop a careless player into the freezing water below. The player can get across the water by way of iceberg platforms that can sink under the player's weight or by bouncing off the heads of curious sea otters.

At the end of the level, the icy sea transitions into a winter forest setting and the player can grab the flagpole around some tall trees to clear the level.

Trivia[]

In older versions of MKF, this level was originally in the Minus World before it was relocated to Avenue of Memories (then known as Nintendo Subspace). Arcade Factory, which was originally removed and replaced with Pixel Factory, was restored and took this level's original spot in the Minus World although that level was again removed in the v0.75 update.
UPIXO in Action: Mission in Snowdriftland was created by tons of bits in cooperation with Nintendo.
This is the only level based on a online flash game in MKF.
The music used in this level are World 1-2 and World 1-3 in UPIXO in Action: Mission in Snowdriftland.
