Savage Stretch is the 24th level in The Mushroom Kingdom.

This level takes place in a lava wasteland stronghold under a red sky with frowning clouds. Bowser, being aware that the Mushroom Kingdom Coalition is on his turf, sends out an all-out attack on them by sending his strongest minions and vehicles to stop them from ruining his plans.
The first area has the player jump over the lava and gray pipe while avoiding the Podoboos and Venus Fire Trap shooting fireballs at them. After passing that, they fight a lot of strong, fire-themed enemies along the way, such as Fire Snakes, Sumo Bros, Blarggs, and Fire Chomps.
The last area starts to auto-scroll as the player needs to dodge the cannonballs and Bullet Bills firing all over the place from the ground, cannons, and tanks until they reach a large cliff as it starts scrolling up. Also, there is the need to jump on the platform while avoiding more cannonballs and even a giant cannon made for Banzai Bills to shoot out from. Once the player reaches the top of the cliff, they go down a slope, with the Dino-Rhinos and Sledge Bros coming up to attack. Once the player survives all that onslaught, they get to the flagpole to clear the level as they cross a lava bridge to enter Molten Underpass underneath Bowser Castle next.
