Richter Belmont is the sixth boss found in World 4: The Demon Realm, fought in Sanctum of Torment. He is a vampire hunter and descendant of Simon Belmont, in addition to be a recurring character in the Castlevania series.
Origin[]
Richter's debut in the Castlevania series was as the main protagonist in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, which was originally a Japan-only game released in 1993 for the PC but since has had a re-release both in Japan and internationally in 2007/2008 on the Playstation PSP. Since his debut, Richter has had a supporting role and featured as a secret character throughout many games in the Castlevania series.
Role in MKF[]
In Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, Richter is fought as the boss of the level Sanctum of Torment. Similar to his appearance in Symphony of the Night, Richter has been mind controlled in order to prevent the MK Coalition from getting to Loki after a failed attempt to stop him himself.
Strategy:[]
Dodge Richter's attacks and if he performs the whip attack, stomp on him. If the player has a power-up projectile-based attack, use a projectile-based attack to damage him.
If Richter has 50% health remaining, he starts to cast a corrupted form of Hydro Storm (which appears as green rain). Quickly get the green wand to avoid getting damaged. Defeating Richter allows the player to complete the level.
Trivia:[]
- During early development of MKF, Richter was planned to be member of the since-abandoned group called the Anti-Coalition and would had been the counterpart to Arthur.
- During the v0.82 (Unstable), v0.83 (Unstable) and v0.85 updates, there was a mismatched music bug, where the boss music played is 'Gradius V - Stage Boss' ogg_boss.ogg instead of Final Fantasy IX - Battle 2 ogg_bigboss.ogg.
- Prior to v0.82 and older versions of MKF, Richter was absent in Sanctum of Torment and instead appeared a green wand instead that cleared the level, with no boss health bar, normal course music and a large empty arena.
- Starting in the v0.83 update, Richter has new updated sprites and a large arena.
