Mewtwo is a legendary psychic Generation I Pokemon that was scientifically created using the genes of another Pokemon called Mew. Despite human scientists creating Mewtwo, they forgot to give him a compassionate heart. As the result, Mewtwo is considered to be one of the most heartless and sinister among all the Pokemon. In addition to the Pokemon series, Mewtwo also appeared as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Role in MKF[]
In Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, Mewtwo was planned to be a member a group called the Villain Alliance, a villainous counterpart to the Mushroom Kingdom Coalition, whose goal was to take out Legion, the original planned antagonist of MKF, only to gain his power for themselves. After the removal of both Legion and the Villian Alliance in early development of MKF, Mewtwo himself was removed from MKF due to a lack of development.
An early concept of Abomination, the planned final boss in the entire game, was that it was to be a mutation consisting of each member of the Villian Alliance. However, Mewtwo was not featured in the sprite concept despite being a member of the Villian Alliance.
