Life Energy is a health item from the Mega Man series. When touched, the item will recover a set amount of life energy from the player's character. They are usually obtained by defeating enemies, but can also be found in stages and by other methods, such as finding Eddie or buying some from the Shop. Life Energy items will disappear a short while after its appearance on the screen, meaning that the player needs to quick to collect them if they need them. Smaller Life Energy pellets will refill 1 HP while larger Life Energy pellets can refill more health.
In Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, the following playable characters can collect Life Energy to refill health:
In World 3: The Megaverse, each character gains an HP system due to the number of enemies and bosses in this world. When a character has a second-tier power-up, such as a Fire Flower, they gain the ability to take up to four hits, three in a life bar and one after it's drained, before they lose the power-up. The life bar can be refilled by acquiring power-ups or from energy drops from enemies. Certain characters may not require a second-tier power-up to benefit from the extra health.
Trivia[]
- Prior to the v0.88 update of MKF, Legacy Link also was able to use life energy as he was the original version of Link before he received a revamp in the v0.875 update. Since then, Legacy Link now uses the Mario-style power-up system with a small/weak form and reserved item slot.
