Jaquio was one of the many bosses fought in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. Originally, he acted as a placeholder for the eighth World Boss of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion before being replaced by Master Hand. It is currently unknown whether or not the Mushroom Kingdom Coalition will have to face Jaquio in another level in World 8, Avenue of Memories.
History[]
In Ninja Gaiden (NES, 1988) Jaquio appears and takes control of the ancient ruin, Guardia de Mieux. He awaits Ryu Hayabusa after sends his assassins, the Malice Four to steal the Demon Statue and break the seal on the Dark God, plunging the world into darkness. After the Malice Four steal the Shadow Statue from Ryu's father, Joe Hayabusa, Jaquio tricks Ryu into surrendering the Light statue while he prepares the ritual in front of the Demon's body in an Amazon temple. He succeeds in breaking the seal on the Demon but is defeated by Ryu and the Dragon Sword.
In Ninja Gaiden II: Dark Sword of Chaos Jaquio reveals himself somehow fully resurrected. He soon meets Ryu in a demonic altar, and reveals that the energy of the spirit of the Demon flowed into his body after their last battle, resurrecting him, and giving him unfathomable evil power. Despite his powers he is beaten by Ryu. However, his blood flowing out touches the cursed blade of the Dark Sword of Chaos. The gates of Hell are thrown open and the revived Jaquio takes on the form of a demon. He challenges Ryu, and is once again defeated by the Dragon Ninja. After his defeat, the Sword of Chaos is destroyed and the Hell Gate is sealed, as the castle collapses.
Appearance[]
In MKF, Jaquio appeared as a boss in the last level of Avenue of Memories, Elemental Tower, which has since been replaced with Final Destination starting with the v0.81 update. In battle, Jaquio has only one attack - throwing homing fireballs to player. Also, Spider Wights periodically appear in room, with which the player can attack Jaquio.
Trivia[]
- The only attack Jaquio does is the second phase of his fight in the first Ninja Gaiden game.
- Jaquio used to be a placeholder for the world boss for Avenue of Memories. However, he was replaced by Master Hand.
- Before the fight with Jaquio begins, Ryu Hayabusa makes a cameo appearance as a NPC.
- During early development of MKF, the level that Jaquio was originally planned to appear in (likely based on the Ninja Gaiden series) was scrapped. For that likely reason, he was moved to Elemental Tower.
