Industrial Nightmare is the 5th secret level located in Alternate Earth.
Layout[]
This level takes place in a dangerous factory located in Eastern Asia, where the player has to deal with lots of robotic enemies along the way.
The level starts off with the player making their way towards the right, dealing with various foes, conveyor belts moving every which-way and open pits of acid. After that, there is a free Hammer Bros. Suit and the player will have to use a small spaceship to navigate through a swarm of enemies while avoiding contact with open pits of molten metal. Once overcoming these obstacles, the player will get another checkpoint before entering the last section of the factory, where they will have to deal with open flames and many more threats until finally reaching the level's flagpole.
To gain access to this level, the player must first clear the Red Switch Palace and then complete Shanghai Showdown.

Trivia[]
- This level was originally planned to be where Agent M was unlocked before she was removed from the game.
- The tileset for this level comes from the 1993 SNES game Super Turrican.
- Since the v0.75 Update, this level was redesigned and replaced most of the Mario enemies with robotic enemies, mostly from the Sonic or Mega Man series.
- The following Mario enemies were in the original version of this level but were removed: Pirate Gooms, Rocky Wrenches, Shroobs, Penkoons, Rocket Engines, Torpedo Teds, Sumo Bros, Bullet Bills, and Droppers.
- Rebel Soldiers and Rebel Riflemen from the Metal Slug were originally found in this level but were removed. Abobo from Double Dragon was also removed in this level.
- Mouser was originally a mini-boss fought in the original version of this level but was removed. Birdo was also present in this level but was also removed.
- Earlier versions of the level had enemies from the Metroid series.
- Originally, this was the 19th level in Alternate Earth but was changed to the 4th secret level.
- Prior to the v0.91 update of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, the Battle Level Pokemon Stadium could be accessed on the map after beating this level. However, it was relocated to World 6: Adventurer's Domain.
