Himalayan Peaks is the 7th secret level in Alternate Earth and is based on Mount Everest, the Earth's tallest mountain in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas.
Layout[]
The first area takes place at the bottom of the mountain, and the player has to work their way up to the peck while dealing with many enemies as well as icicles that fall from the ceiling. If the player is equipped with a fire-based powerup or sub-weapon, they can melt the ice cubes for some bonus items, such as coins and rupees.
The last area takes place near the top of the mountain as a snowstorm emerges. The wind currency is also strong here, as the wind will push the player to the left side without any control, often leading the player to a bottomless pit or getting damaged by enemies. The only way to travel through safely is to either lay low on the gaps or walls in-between or use the vines to hold on to while avoiding various enemies, such as Ravens and Sumo Bros.
At the end, the player grabs the flagpole to clear the level, as the next destination is Tiger Temple, located in India.
