Shanghai Showdown is the 15th level in Alternate Earth.
Layout[]
This level takes place at the Great Wall of China, where a 3rd century Chinese warrior known as Lu Bu, the military warlord from the Dynasty Warrior series, is planning to take over the country.
The first area has the players romp through the Great Wall patrolled by enemies, such as Pansers and Pionpi, in addition to introducing Chinese Archers that shoot fast-moving gravity-affected arrows.
The second area introduces floating Chinese Lanterns that behave like platforms that move in various patterns and hordes of miniature dragons that move in wave-like patterns. The Ice and Fire Rods are present in this section to help defeat the dragons just in case the player's character is not equipped with a projectile-based powerup.
The third area features more platforming as the player must avoid more enemies to reach the end. The player can also choose to hop on Chinese Lanterns to reach higher areas found in the levels..
At the end of the level, the boss encountered here is Lu Bu, whose melee attacks protect him from the player's offenses but is vulnerable when he stops, leaving an opportunity for the player to jump on him to deal some damage. Stomp Boots are also present just before the fight if the player's character is incapable of normally jumping on enemies. After Lu Bu's defeat, he falls to his death and Shanghai is saved as the level is completed.

Trivia[]
- This level replaces the now-scrapped level Shanghai Showdown. It also uses the theme of the Great Wall of China that was previously used in the Battle Level, The Great Wall Parkour, which was later revamped as Shanghai Skylines.
- Lu Bu's death after being defeated is a reference to Geese Howard from Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters series, where he met the same fate by the main character, Terry Bogard.
- Assets for the level come from Spinmaster: Miracle Adventure.
