Fryguy is a giant ball of flame and a boss from Super Mario Bros. 2. Fought in Crystal Palace in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, Fryguy would attack players by hovering around and drop fireballs at them from below and the player must attack him by throwing Mushroom Blocks at him.
Origins[]
Fryguy's only appearance is serving as the boss of the rather icy World 4 in SMB2, which is ironic as Fryguy is a fiery creature.
Attack Patterns[]
The first phase of the Fryguy fight is much like he is fought in the original SMB2, where he will drop an endless supply of fireballs at the player, whose only means of attack is throwing Mushroom Blocks at him. When his health is half-way depleted, Fryguy will now be protected by four "mini Fry Guys", who serve as a shield. Fryguy will then shoot down even more fireballs, such as those that will form an "X-pattern", that will hone towards the player. He will also summon his "mini Fry Guy shield" to rotate as another form of attack. After the final hit, multiple mini Fry Guys will fall off the screen and Fryguy will explode, leading to victory for the player.
Trivia[]
- The fight against Fryguy was ported from the long-cancelled sister project Super Mario Fusion: Revival.
