Freon Ice Zone is the 13th level of World 7: Isle of Genesis and is a fusion level, combining elements from the Ice Cap Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and the Planet Freon level from Ristar. Both series made and develop by Team Sonic of Sega.

Layout[]

Ice Cap Zone is one of the zones that Sonic and Tails travel throughout in their adventure in Angel Island to stop Dr. Robotnik from activating the Death Egg that landed on the island.

Planet Freon is one of the planets on the Valdi System that Ristar, the main protagonist of the Ristar game, visited as the planet had turned into an eternal ice age that froze the innocent alien inhabitants by a monster in a sky castle called Itamor, under the command of his leader, Kaiser Greedy.

What used to be a normal iceberg mountain has now fused with Planet Freon, replacing the once-normal sky into a beautiful, pinkish Northern light that shadows all over the mountains and the planet crystals plants all over the icy ground.

The player must navigate this fusion of the two levels and travel along icy mountains, crystal caves and even briefly underwater while facing both the Badniks and Greedy Army.

After the level is completed, the player heads out to a city that needs saving.
