Eye of the Storm was a secret level of World 3, The Megaverse, where the player had to fight Air Man again but this time he was upgraded into a "super boss". After the v0.7 update of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, the level was removed due to objects being too long to be properly fixed.
Layout[]
While the rematch with Air Man started off much like the previous fight at Windy Fortress, it soon transformed into an aerial fight with more complex patterns and harder-to-dodge attacks. His weakness, Leaf Shield, could have be used as projectiles against him when he appeared during the second phase. The fight capped off with a Rush Jet ride as Air Man used tackle attacks before he was aided by Sheep Man and his Thunder Wool weapon that hit the player with lightning bolts.
However, after Air Man was defeated for the second time, he was transformed into an oversized version of himself - with the help of Kamek. He was immune to any kind of attacks, with the exception of the Starman that the player had to get along with a ton of other enemies being sucked into his blades. Air Man would also jump and stomp the ground three times, which spawned Ko-Pipis. The player had to grab the starman three times and Air Man was defeated for the third and final time, which flooded the screen and exploded.
Boss[]
- Air Man (Mega Man 2) (Hard Fight)
Trivia[]
- Air Man's super boss status was inspired by an internet music meme claiming Air Man to be unbeatable. An instrumental version of the song played during the fight.
- Kamek, the main antagonist of the 1995 SNES game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, appeared at the beginning of the level and later used his magic powers to grow Air Man to monstrous size. After the level was removed, he was removed in addition as well, Before returning as a cameo in the revamped Bowser fight in Hell Prominence
- This stage appeared to be a reference to the Flash movie "Megaman vs Airman" by RemixV4, which notably featured an aerial battle between Mega Man and Air Man, as well as Air Man transforming into his Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters incarnation.
