Elemental Nexus is the 4th fortress level in Adventurer's Domain. It is based on the Zelda series, more specifically The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Layout[]
The player starts in the entrance of the Great Temple from Zelda 2, where they need to find a key on the right side and unlock the gate. At the left side, a green crystal is found, which will teleport the play to the "Nature" section. Each section afterwards is based on an element, such as Earth, Fire, Water, Shadow, and Wind. The player needs to traverse each section to reach the end.
Now arriving at the Nature section, the player enters a forest-like castle and must navigate through vines and bouncing green blob-like platforms while avoiding enemies and the spike traps. At the end, a brown crystal is found at the end, which takes the player to the next section.
At the Earth section, the player is inside a pyramid-like setting with bodies of sand and more enemies and traps to avoid. However, the ceiling with spikes on it is slowly collapsing above, meaning that the player must quickly navigate the area or risk getting crushed to death. At the end, an orange crystal is seen, and it transports the player to the next section.
At the Fire section, the player arrives at a volcanic-like setting and must quickly climb the fences above as the lava below is steadily rising, killing the player instantly if they don't move quickly. More enemies and traps stand in the way as the player reaches the end, a teal-colored portal that sends the player to the midway point with a Checkpoint.
Midway through the level, the player must fight Helmethead, who has the key guarding the Water Crystal, to further progress.
At the Water section, the player now finds themselves in an icy-like temple filled with water. They must find the Skull Keys to further progress and evade the various enemies that populate the area. There are also icicles hanging on either the floor or ceiling that must be avoided. At the bottom of the section, there is a Fire Rod to deal with the enemies and melt ice blocks that contain either coins and Rupees. At the end, the player swims their way to reach the yellow crystal.
From there, the player reaches another checkpoint and now enters the Wind section. They now must deal with the gusty winds that blow them backward, either into bottomless pits or into enemies or other traps. There are also twister-like platforms that take the player to higher places within the section. At the end of the area, the player reaches the black crystal, which takes them to the Shadow section.
Here, the player enters a dark castle and must use the Lens of Truth blocks that temporarily reveal the platforms needed to further progress or else risk falling off the stage and losing a life. More enemies try to hinder the player's progress, and at the end, the player reaches a white portal.
Here, the player reaches another checkpoint and is greeted by Navi, who cautions them about the incoming boss fight and gives them hints on how to fight that boss. At the end, the player fights the boss of the level, Phantom Ganon, and after defeating the boss, the player clears the level.

Trivia[]
- This level is greatly based on Elemental Tower, a removed level that was once the World Boss level located in World 8: Avenue of Memories.
- It features a similar going through elemental-themed areas as the aforementioned level.
- Additionally, the start of this level is also based on another scrapped World 8 level: Midoro Palace.
- Parts of this level reuse elements from other previously-removed levels from Mushroom Kingdom Fusion.
- The Nature section is based on the scrapped level Forest Temple.
- The Water/Ice section is based on the scrapped level Water Temple.
- The Fire section is based on the scrapped level Fire Temple.
- The Shadow section uses a removed concept (The Lens of Truth blocks) from the earlier version of Fortress of Doom.
- The crystals resemble the ones fought in the battle against Culex in the 1996 SNES game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
