Demon World Village is the 2nd level of The Demon Realm and is based on the Ghosts 'n Goblins series.
Layout[]
This level takes place in a graveyard century with some forest and hills on the far side on the moon in the center. This is where Sir Arthur started his adventure in the Ghosts 'n Goblins series after Princess Prin-Prin got kidnapped by the demon King Astaroth and his undead army, requiring Arthur to go save her.
The first area takes place in the graveyard century, full of endless tombstones in the background. This area introduced many of the Ghost n' Goblins enemies, such as respawning Zombies, Woody Pigs, Green Monsters and the buff, muscular goblin Big Man that take a few hits before being defeated. Also introduced in this area are the red chests that pop out of the ground if the player triggers theme in a certain spots. Opening these chests can reward the player power up treasures but come also contain Poison Mushrooms and the player must watch out for those.
The second area takes place in the forest with a red, bloody swamp in the bottom. The player will have to cross though this forest while not falling in the blood swamp. More enemies and hazards are introduced here, such as the Flying Knight which move in a up and down pattern, Vultures that fly towards the player if spotted and dangerous Guillotine blades that the player must avoid or else they instantly lose a life.
The last area takes place in the top hills of the graveyard as the player will battle more undead enemies like Skeleton Murderer that pop out of the wall or the ground before attack the players and Astaroth's personal demons known as Red Arremers that will wake up and start chasing the player around while swooping down and spitting fireballs. After getting past all of that, the player gets to the flagpole with a skull on the bottom to clear the level as their next destination is entering an abandoned haunted town as the moon turns blue.

Trivia[]
- The original name of this level was Hell's Graveyard.
- The name Demon World Village was the direct translation of the Japanese title of Ghosts 'n Goblins, "魔界村".
- Unicorns were originally found in this level but were removed.
- In the v0.88 version of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, the following enemies were removed: SMW Dry Bones, Skeletons, Bone Towers and Skull Fishes. As a result, the Stalfos is the only enemy in the level that does not originate from the Ghost 'n Goblins series.
