Chaotic Exurb FM is the 8th level in World 8: Avenue of Memories, and it is solely based on The World Ends With You and Jet Set Radio, with some pinch of Ape Escape (since it has the Pipo Monkeys).
Layout[]
This level is a mashup of The World Ends with You and Jet Set Radio, with the Noise being a primary enemy. The player can ride on skateboards to traverse far distances and break barriers. Along the way, they search for Pipo Monkeys and encounter Noise Symbols, in which the player can jump into otherworldly dimensions by coming in contact with them (some of them are required for obtaining Red Coins!).
After completing the level for the first time, the player encounters Bubsy, Boogerman, and Plok. They explain the current situation in Avenue of Memories before revealing the World Boss Master Hand. Bubsy challenges Master Hand, but gets blasted by him, turning him into comedic ashes in the process. It seems the Coalition has a tough challenge if they face off against the Master Hand.
If you take the secret path, the player can read a computer log about an unknown person meeting up with Morshu, thinking he's a weird cosplayer, declining his offers for bombs, and buying a seemingly cursed Game Boy device from the eccentric shopkeeper, alongside two game cartridges—Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins and Ninja Gaiden Shadow. The player gets sucked into the Game Boy if they get too close enough to the strange portable gaming device and explores the retro game in person. If this path is beaten for the first time, Game Boy Mario is unlocked after a cut-scene.

Trivia[]
- Throughout the level, there are various decorations of the following characters: the Batter and the Judge from OFF, Klonoa, the Ninja Baseball Batman Sentai Team, Amaterasu from Okami, the Sackboy from Little Big Planet, various Kirby enemies, Dan Smith from Killer7, and Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes.
- The Coins are resprited as Paint Spray Cans based on Jet Set Radio.
- The secret path is seemingly based on the trope where a object is cursed and transports characters into another world (such as Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic, which was later rebranded as the international version of Super Mario Bros. 2), with the Gameboy acting as the cursed artifact which sucks the player in.
