Caverns of Mana

Caverns of Mana was the 11th level of Adventurer's Domain, set in the vast caverns of the Mana universe, specifically Secret of Mana. However, this level was removed in the v0.91 update of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion and replaced with Duskmoon Topsoil.

Layout[]

The level is mostly based on platform gameplay as the player must move with the help of platforms and springs while avoiding spikes and lava. There are two main sections: The first being a sunlit cavern filled with waterfalls and Death Floras and the second consisting of a misty dark cavern filled with lava and Mad Mallards in place of water.

This stage also contains a secret keyhole that leads to Blue Switch Palace. It is located in the last part of the third room at the bottom.

Trivia:[]

This level recycles some of the stage layout and enemies from the now-removed level Blue Mountains. The enemies carried over are Blue Cybers, Geodudes, and Onix.
The background for this level comes from Joe and Mac while the tileset is a recolor of Mt Bernardo's tileset from High Seas Havoc, with the crystals being from Ecco the Dolphin.
The music used in this level is Into The Thick of It theme from the 1993 SNES game The Secret of Mana.
The Pokémon Onix were originally found in this level but were removed.
