Castle of Blades is the third level in The Megaverse and is based on Cut Man's stage from the first Mega Man game.

Layout[]

The Castle of Blades is a manufacturing tower focused on cutting down the forest area with equipment involving sharp blades and saws. The castle is run and owned by the timber-felling Robot Master, Cut Man.

The first main area involve exploring the castle-climbing ladders and getting to the top of the tower while fighting through the robot enemies, such as Octopus Batteries and Komasburos.

The second main area sees the player climbing from ladder to ladders while dealing with gun cannon-like Beaks and spinning Screw Bombers that spread-fire shots in different directions.

Once the player reaches to the top and into the checkpoint room, the last main area take place on top of the tower with a nice view of Alloyed Forest as the player must avoid some machines that shoots out scissor blades known as Super Cutters. A helpful tip is to use a P-Switch to get across a bed of spikes to avoid getting hurt while flying through groups of Fleas and a Mini-Boss fight against the giant robot cat, Tama. Another mini-boss found is a blue Big Eye that is required to be defeated as it is guarding the key to the boss room.

The last room in the level is a boss fight against Cut Man. After the player has defeated Cut Man and cleared the level, the player will enter the Mechanized Wasteland section of World 3.

Trivia[]

This level was originally merged with Elec Man's stage, Electric Tower called Maintenance Tower in earlier versions of MKF. However, the two stages reverted back to being separate stages due to the length of the merged level being too long.
The original name of this stage was Castle Cut Man.
Goombas, Grinders, Sir Kibbers, Neo Metalls, and Octopus Batteries were originally absent in this level.
