Castle Wolfenstein is the 3rd secret level in Alternate Earth and it is mostly based on the original Wolfenstein 3D with no direct references to Adolf Hitler or Nazis. This level can be played by clearing the Green Switch Palace.
Layout[]
This huge castle is basically a prison base that was built by Nazi Germany during World War 2 a long time ago. The level's goal and structure is based on episode 2 Escape from Castle Wolfenstein as the main protagonist of the game, William Blazkowicz Joseph, an American spy of Polish descent, was captured during one of his missions.
The first area begins in the dungeon, where the player must navigate past troops and killer dogs alongside various Mario enemies and hazards. During the exploration of the dungeon, the player must find several skull keys to exit this place.
The second main area takes place in sore of libraries and offices that feature portraits of the Nazi leaders all over the place. The goal is the same as the player goes room to room and travel through some elevators while searching for those skull keys and evading enemies.
After escaping from this horrible castle, a view of an abandoned camp can be seen from the background as the player grabs the flagpole to clear the level.

Trivia[]
- There were multiple Mario enemies in the original version of this level but the following were removed when the level was revamped in recent updates of MKF: Koopa Troopas, Koopa Paratroopas, Thwimps, Thwomps, Zig Zag Lava Bubbles, Magikoopas, Hammer Bros, Monty Moles, Banzai Bills, Big Boos, Boos, Chain Chomps, Spiny Cheep Cheeps, Porcupuffers, Fishbones, and Birdo.
- Bob-ombs, Mega Bob-Ombs, Hotfoots, Rotating Cannons, Bony Beetles and Shy Guys riding Autobombs were originally absent from this level. The SS Guards from Wolfenstein 3D and Hell Knights from Doom were also absent.
- The secret room with the Hell knight is a reference to the Castle Wolfenstein mobile game and is a crossover between DOOM and Wolfenstein as they were both created and developed by the same company, ID Software.
