Cascade Cove is the 9th level in the Mushroom Kingdom. This level is based on Mushroom Zone from Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.
Layout[]
Casacade Cove is a beach area full of palm trees and some waterfalls around the mini islands with angry expressions on their faces. In the original game, this is the first land that Mario travels to after getting kicked out of his own castle by his rival, Wario, and needs to collect the six golden coins to enter the door to reclaim his castle from Wario.
The first area looks similar to Seaside Paradise, but the player travels a bit more around the lands and swims underwater for a bit while dealing with the Koopa Troopas that are populating, including some yellow ones that chase the player around. Other enemies here include Goombas wearing swimming gear and Sharks swimming around the ocean. At the end, the player enters a pipe to the next area.
The second area takes place high above the ocean, as it is a straightforward platform area. Here, the player uses the logs to cross over the waterfall while being pursued by the Lakitu above. At the end, the player takes a pipe down to the lower ground, which leads to the flagpole that clears the level. Now, the sun is about to come down, leading to the night sky as the player travels through a haunted dock station next.

Trivia[]
- Earlier names for this level include Lakitu's Cove and Koopa Cove.
- This level replaces a removed level called "Turtle Zone", which was a straight-forward remake of the first level from the Turtle Zone in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.
- Jelectros, Cheep Cheeps, Spiny Cheep Cheeps, and Rip-Van Fishes, were originally in this level but were removed after the level was revamped.
- Starting with the v0.82 version of Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, the level uses tilesets from New Super Mario Bros (though recolored to better bit a 16-bit style game). Previously, the level used recolored tilesets from SML2. Also, Goombas were previously reskinned as the Aqua Kirubos from SML2.
- It switched tilesets with Seaside Paradise.
