He was dormant for years before returning as a recurring boss in Super Mario 3D Land along with a female counterpart named Pom-Pom. His most recent appearance in the Mario series was in New Super Mario Bros. U, in which he is the boss of most of the towers.
Role in MKF[]
Boom-Boom has no role, as he has now been removed from the game entirely.
Trivia[]
- When Boom-Boom is fought, the music being heard is the remix of the boss battle music in Super Mario Bros 3. Earlier versions of MKF used a different remix of the same track.
- Boom-Boom was originally more of a recurring boss as he was previously fought in the level Fortress of Traps but was later replaced with a ghostly version of Mouser. He was also the boss fought in Grassland Outpost but was later replaced with the Goomba King starting with the v0.8 version of MKF. Likewise for the level Bay of Flames before being replaced with Bowser Jr. in the v0.88 update.
