Boo Mansion is the 1st ghost house in the The Mushroom Kingdom and it based off the Ghost House levels from in Super Mario World.
Layout[]
This level takes place inside a haunted mansion populated by the scary but shy ghosts called Boos. The Ghost House level theme was first introduced in Super Mario World as the puzzle levels and this idea was later reused in several future Mario games.
This is the first puzzle level in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion as instead of going from point A to B, the player will require logical thinking and solve their way through the puzzle if they want to clear the level.
The first area has two rooms with many doors, and the player has to switch between these two rooms to get to the correct door to the next room while using the green P-Switch to clear out the spinning blocks and the springs to go to the higher ground.
The second area features a block train that the player must stay on or risk falling into a bottomless pit or spikes while dealing the Boos. This area also has the option of collecting the Red Coins while on the block train.
In the last area, the player battles the first main boss in the game, which to be a boss version of the Big Boo who circle around the area while summoning two small Boos to aid him. The player must pick up the blue bricks to damage him. After defeating him and clearing the level, the player exiting the mansion and to a fortress in the grassland.

Trivia[]
- The music used in this level is the Waltz of the Boos theme from the 2007 Nintendo Wii game Super Mario Galaxy. Previously, the "Ghost House" theme from the 2006 Nintendo DS game New Super Mario Bros was used. Even earlier versions of MKF used a fan remix of the "Graveyard" music from the 1992 Game Boy game Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.
- Goombas were reskinned as the hockey mask-wearing J-Son enemies from Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins before being changed to a ghost-like skin. Originally, they were absent altogether in earlier versions of this level.
- The name of this Ghost House level is a minor reference to Luigi's Mansion, one of the many Mario spin-off series, where Luigi has to clear out Boos and other supernatural enemies in various haunted places.
- Eeries and Circling Boo Buddies were previously absent from the level prior to the v0.9 update of MKF.
