The Black Switch Palace is a Switch Palace found in World 9: Edge of Beyond and can be accessed after finding the secret exit in Ceres Distress. Also, the Green, Red, and Blue Switch Palaces all need to be cleared in order to get access to the Black Switch Palace on the map.
Layout[]
In the level, the player needs to trigger a P-Switch to have hard blocks appear, forming a maze, as there is nothing but bottomless space at the bottom. As the player quickly platforms the maze, they must also avoid the various enemies, such as Surges, Bugs, and TP-2 POW Armors. After getting through the maze, the player hops on a moving wooden platform that leads to a pipe. Upon entering the pipe, the player can hit the Black Switch to clear the palace.
Effect[]
The power of the Black Switch Palace will fill in the black dashed-line boxes into solid ! Blocks. These blocks contain nothing and are usually situated in locations in various levels that make them easier to navigate or open up new paths to secret areas in the level.
Unlocked Levels[]
After clearing the Black Switch Palace, the paths to the following levels and Battle Levels become accessible.

- Dry Bowser's Crypt
- Himalayan Peaks
- Scrap Junkyard
- Palace of Dark Delight
- T'Leth
