Big Boo Boss is one of the first Mushroom Kingdom Fusion bosses that the Mushroom Kingdom Coalition faces in World 1.
History[]
This Big Boo is a boss version that originated from the 1991 (1990 in Japan) SNES game Super Mario World as one of the game's bosses. He is located in Donut Plains' Secret Donut House, where the player must defeat him in order to reach the secret exit. In order to defeat the Big Boo, the player must throw a grab block (called ice blocks in SMB3) at him when he's not invisible. Otherwise, the blocks will go through him and not affect him at all. After being hit with grab blocks three times, the Big Boo is defeated and the player clears the level.
Role In MKF[]
In MKF, the Big Boo Boss appears as the boss in Boo Mansion. To fight him, use the same strategy in Super Mario World: throw ice blocks at him! The main differences are that he takes more than three hits and he can summon smaller Boos in battle; no more than two Boos guard him at a time. He can't turn invisible either and follows a circular pattern.
Trivia[]
- Prior to the v0.81 version of MKF, the Big Boo Boss originally had a custom sprite, ripped from the SMW Redrawn hack by Icegoom, but was changed into his original sprite appearance though recolored to match the color scheme of modern-day Boos and Big Boos.
