“What I've fought for? That is ridiculous. I don't need a reason to fight. I have and am going to fight only to destroy Mega Man!”
― Bass, Mega Man & Bass (1998)
Bass was a Robot Master created by Dr. Wily to imitate Mega Man's design with the intention of surpassing his power someday. He was accompanied by Treble, an imitation of Mega Man's canine companion Rush. He was obsessed with defeating Mega Man and proving himself as the strongest of Wily's robots, sometimes rebelling against his creator in order to do so.
Role in MKF[]
In Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, Bass is the end boss of the level Robot Museum in World 3 Megaverse. Treble also assists him during the second phase of the fight as the player now fights him in his "Super Bass" form. In Turbo Turnpike, Bass and Treble, still in "Super Bass" mode, assist the player by flight rushing through the highway and destroying the giant robot 'Mad Grinder' that is trying to run over the player.
His boss music played is 'ogg_mmboss2'
Strategy[]
During his first phase, Bass only has two attacks. He would either fire several buster shots while jumping or stand on the ground and fire streams of buster shots at every direction around him. To dodge the first attack, keep your distance and stay on the ground, since his buster shots rarely reach ground level. Jump to avoid his shots if you have to. For the second attack, simply stand in place and jump over his shots.
During his second phase, Bass will begin flying across the screen and using a series of new attacks.
- Bass swoops down at you. Simply jump out of the way or stomp him.
- Bass lowers his height and fires his rocket fist at you. Jump over the fist as it flies towards you and again as it returns. Bass can be stomped during this attack.
- Bass drops to ground level and fires two charge shots. Simply jump over the shots. This attack takes a long time and leaves him vulnerable to counterattacks.
- Bass uses Astro Crash, creating two waves of aerial projectiles that impact the ground in an alternating pattern. Watch the top of the screen for an opening in the first wave, then dodge into one of the previously hit spots for the second wave.

It's time to prove once and for all that I am the mightiest robot in existence!”

That old fool is mistaken if he thinks he can create a robot mightier than I am!”
― To Vile and Zero
“Where is Mega Man? I have been waiting long enough!
Out of my way! I have no time dealing with weaklings like you!”
― To other characters

This shouldn't be possible!”

Trivia[]

- During early development of MKF, Bass was planned to be member of the since-abandoned group called the Anti-Coalition and would had been the counterpart to Roll.
