Banshee Boardwalk is the 2nd ghost house level in the Mushroom Kingdom and is named and slightly modelled after the same-named race track from Mario Kart 64.
Layout[]
Banshee Boardwalk is a haunted abandon dock station at night that was originally used for the Toads to ship the wooden containers supplies on their boats across the lands before being taken over by Boos. This place was used as a racetrack for the Special Cups in Mario Kart 64 and the Lightning Cup in Mario Kart DS.
The first area takes place outside as the player travel through this place while dealing with the Boos. In addition to the regular Boos, there are some Boos that will circle around the area in a group at the player must timely cross between the gaps to not get hurt while other Boos hide inside white platforms that the player can stand on but will periodically pop out of it and travel across its platform. Other other undead Mario enemies here include the Dry Bones and the skeleton Fishbones that swim in the water. In order to exit this area, the player will need to find a green P-Switch that set a time limit and then reach the blue door somewhere before it disappears or else they have to try again.
The second area has the player going down while avoiding the Circling Boos until they land on the bridge but is ambushed by a group of Big Boos. Before they can get to the player , the bridge underneath starts crumbling as if they would fall down into the river to the next area.
The last area takes place underwater of the dock station. The player must swim across this area while choosing the correct pass as the yellow flippers will let them come back once it's crossed through while continuing to deal with the Fishbones and Boos. Once the player chooses the correct path, they will go to the pipe to exit the underwater and it will lead to the flagpole, which clears the level as a UFO will abduct the player and will take them to the Muda Kingdom next.
Alternately, the player can find the World 4 exit and in order to find it, the they will need to find a P-Switch in the underwater area and take it into the next room. In this room, there are two pipes covered with Brick Blocks. Use the P-Switch to turn those blocks into coins & collect them to access these two pipes. The pipe on right leads the player to the ON/OFF Block, whereas the red pipe on the left leads to the path to the level's world exit when the ON/OFF Block is activated.
The World 4 exit takes place at a metal bridge in the red river around the mountains with a dark purple sky in the background.
The first area has the player first swimming to the top of the river before landing on the bridge to get across to the right side while dealing with the Boos and a number of horror creatures from other games, such as Skull Fishes, Bone Towers that shoot fire out of their mouths, and Skeletons that throw bones at the player. Ones reach the right side, ender the door to the next area.
The last area of the World 4 area has the player traveling between the rocky land and the red river while dealing with more Fishbones on the water, Medusa Heads that fly across the area in a zigzag pattern and other enemies to get to a red pipe, which leads to the flagpole. The player now clears the secret exit of the level and now gain access to the The Demons Realm on the map.

Trivia[]
- The secret exit area isn't based off any one game, however it primarily uses the graphics from Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, with the water recolored to blood.
- The underwater area is original to Mushroom Kingdom Fusion as in the original game, going to the water will count as a out-of-bounce area and and Lakitu will pick up the racers with a fishing hook back to the track.
- In a 2010 trailer for MKF, Eeries were planned to appear in this level but did not appear in the final version. Also, King Boo, the main antagonist of Luigi's Mansion, was planned to appear as a boss but did not make the final version of the level and would be scrapped altogether as of the v0.8 version of MKF.
- A Cacodemon from the DOOM series was originally found in this level but was removed.
