Bacterion is a 4th boss in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion. The Mushroom Kingdom Coalition will find Bacterion in World 9, Edge of Beyond.
History:[]
Bacterion appeared in Gradius III for the arcade and SNES, serving as its final boss. Contrary to the other foes in that game, Bacterion was weak with easy to dodge attacks, leading to it being taken down quite easily.
Role In MKF:[]
Bacterion appears as the boss of the Gradius-based level, Interstellar Assault.
Strategy:[]
To defeat him, the player is supposed to use the attacks of the ship on which he or she has already traveled most of the level. The Bacterion itself initially attacks with simple projectiles flying along a certain trajectory. However, then the projectiles begin to appear, which are aimed at the player and quickly fly to him, if player is directly under or above them. When the Bacterion has a little HP left, the enemies begin to spawn in huge quantities, but the aimed projectiles disappear.

- Bacterion was originally planned to be a world boss, but was demoted to a regular boss when World 6 was modified from its original SHMUPs plan.
- Bacterion was set to appear as a world boss in the Bacterion's Lair level of the long-cancelled sister project, Super Mario Fusion: Revival.
